Virus Resistance is the only stat that matters.

In Season 1, the wasteland is infected. Every zombie, every elite, every wave of the Crimson Legion carries the virus. Power does not protect you. Heroes do not protect you. Only Virus Resistance does.

Recombination opens on Day 3 of Week 1 and runs for 47 days. Ten free combinations to start, plus one every two hours, capped at thirty.

Six things in the Plaguethat do not announce themselves.

Most of what kills a commander in Season 1 is not the Crimson Queen. It is what happens at four in the morning, when no one is looking. These are the patterns. Memorize them.

The Auto-Rally

While you sleep, the alliance starts a rally. Your troops join automatically. The "ignore all-out attacks" toggle does not stop them.

Insufficient Resistance

Attacking a target with more virus than you can resist costs you the squad and infects the survivors.

The Wrong Counter

Tank into Aircraft. Aircraft into Missile. Missile into Tank. The triangle does not negotiate.

One Hundred Stacks

Reach one hundred infection stacks and your base detonates. Cure passively from forty stacks. Never wait.

Acid Rain at Night

Every five minutes during Acid Rain, your virus stacks rise on their own. Sleeping unshielded is an unforced error.

The Mixed Squad

A single off-type hero in the squad costs you the +20% mono bonus. The math punishes hybrids.

Pillar 07//The Lexicon

The language of the Plague.

Every season grows its own vocabulary. These are the words you will hear in the alliance chat, in the rally call, in the late-night Discord voice channel. Learn them and you will not be lost.

VR

Virus Resistance

The stat that determines whether your squad survives an infected target. The single most important number in Season 1.

DW

Doom Walker

The world boss available daily for first-blood kills. Yields seasonal Mutant Crystal when killed during S1.

Doom Elite

Scorpion

Elite enemies on the S1 map. Renamed and recolored from pre-season Doom Elites; mutated by the Plague.

Crimson Legion

The Queen's army. Attacks alliance-held cities every Tuesday and Friday at 12:00 server time, beginning Week 2. Thirty waves per attack.

City of Apocalypse

Capitol

The seat of the Crimson Queen at the center of the map. Opens for war on Day 28. Holding it is the season's prize.

Infection Count

A unit of viral infection from 0 to 100. At 100 your base detonates.

Immune Protein

Protein

The first new resource of S1. Built from Protein Farms. Spent on the Virus Research Institute and Military Bases.

Mutant Crystal

MC

The second new resource of S1. Earned from kills, recombination, and battle passes. Spent on Protein Farms and Military Bases.

Gene Fragment

GF

The third new resource of S1. Six types in total. Combined through Genetic Recombination to forge Mutant Crystals.

Mono-type

Pure Squad

A squad of five heroes all from the same class — Tank, Aircraft, or Missile. Grants +20% HP, Attack, and Defense.

Loki Rally

One-Hero Rally

A rally led with a low-command hero so the alliance carries the kill while the leader collects first-blood credit.

VS Day 5

Mobilization

Friday of the weekly Versus event. Training receives a 4× point multiplier. The day to spend speedups.

Weather

Six States

Sunny, Rainbow, Light Rain, Foggy, Acid Rain, Windy. Each affects PvE and PvP windows differently. Acid Rain is the dangerous one.

Exclusive Weapon

A hero-specific weapon that transforms the carry of each squad type. Three drop in Season 1: Kimberly's Rocket Shadow, DVA's Energy Master, Tesla's Inductive Current.

The Hive

Starting Zone

The cluster at the edge of the server where all alliances begin S1, before the map opens for conquest.

Virus Bomb

Self-Detonation

A base that has reached 100 infection stacks. Detonates on countdown, damaging and infecting nearby bases.
